VIDEO: Isle of Wight athlete Kelly Sotherton has been told she will receive a third Olympic bronze medal – after another competitor was disqualified.

The former Team GB Heptathlete has climbed to third in the 2008 Beijing Olympic heptathlon standings after Russian Tatyana Chernova was stripped of her bronze medal, following retrospective drugs tests.

She now has a bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, along with two in Beijing in 2008 for the Heptathlon and 4x400m relay.

Kelly, 40, was born and raised on the Isle of Wight, attending Bishop Lovett Middle School. She also competed in the 1997 and 1999 Island Games.

She retired in 2012.
