RSPCA: Isle Of Wight Airgun Animal Cruelty Report Adds To Record Figures

The number of calls to the RSPCA reporting airgun attacks on animals is expected to reach a five-year high, with one incident already recorded on the Isle of Wight this year.

Britain’s biggest animal charity says it has received more than 470 calls across the country in the first six months of the year, compared to 455 during the same period in 2016.

In 2016, there were 890 calls over 12 months.

On the Isle of Wight there was one reported incident to June.

In 2012, it peaked at 4 incidents on the Island.
