The new owner of Portsmouth Football Club, Michael Eisner – whose takeover has completed today (Thursday) – has enjoyed a trip to the Isle of Wight this week.
The American billionaire’s takeover of the League One club has now officially been confirmed.
His Tornante company’s paid over £5.5 million to take control.
It appears Mr Eisner has taken it all in his stride, as he enjoyed a trip over to the Isle of Wight with his wife yesterday.
Eisner’s three sons are also joining the board, but Mark Catlin will continue as chief executive.
Fans saved Portsmouth from liquidation four years ago – and the Pompey Supporters Trust had owned 48.5 per cent of the club’s shares.
