The annual Party On The Green returns to Ryde today (Friday).

Hosted by Ryde Rotary Club, partners and friends, the event will see a wide range of activities take place at Eastern Gardens in Ryde.

Last year the ‘party’ raised £4,000. All the proceeds are distributed to local charities and good causes.

Organiser of the event, Mike Jukes, says the event is extremely popular:

“We’ve got a display from the donkey sanctuary, we’ve got Island dance school, children games and competitions… and during the day we’ve got a dice game to win a TV. Year on year it [the event] attracts a lot of holiday makers and locals.”

Party On The Green will take place until 9pm tonight (Saturday).

The event will also continue tomorrow from 12.30pm tomorrow and Sunday.
