Ambulance services on the Isle of Wight are still missing targets, Isle of Wight NHS Trust bosses have been told.
In July only 50% of Category A Red 1 call outs (those deemed most critical) were reached within the target of 8 minutes.
The 8 minute target was also missed for Red 2 call outs (for incidents like strokes or fits) throughout May, June and July. Fewer than 70% of Red 2 incidents were reached within the target time in July.
Other figures show 91% of ambulances sent out in July did manage to reach the scene of the incident in 19 minutes. The target is 95%.
According to a performance report published by the Trust, and presented to the board yesterday (Wednesday), improvements have been made to the ambulance station – which was previously highlighted by the CQC for being unsecured.
