Adverse weather has forced the closure of Eklectica’s main stage at Robin Hill Country Park, however organisers insist the show will go on.
They have relocated Duran Duran tribute Duran 2 to the smaller, tented Africa stage while safety checks are carried out. The band will start later than planned, at 5.30pm, performing to a hardy crowd of festival-goers who have gathered in the sheltered area.

Top tribute acts Killer Queen and Michael Jackson: Starring Ben are due on stage later, and organisers say they are continuing to assess the situation.
Earlier, Isle of Wight Radio’s Paul Topping broadcast this Facebook Live video:
High winds and rain are hitting the Isle of Wight and have led to the suspension of Hovertravel services.
Meanwhile, across the water in Dorset, former Isle of Wight festival Bestival closed its main arena and other stages and asked people to return to their campsites for safety earlier. They have since reopened.
“The main arenas & stages are now re-open! Check the APP Schedule for updates to stage times…thanks again for your patience & understanding.”
**UPDATED AT 19.28**
Killer Queen will not appear at Eklectica tonight (Sunday), organisers have said, citing “technical difficulties caused by adverse weather conditions.”
“Due to weather damage to the main stage Killer Queen’s performance at the Eclectic Festival has been cancelled. The organisers tried everything to make the performance possible and relocate the show to a different stage but technically this wasn’t possible with the time available. Sorry to all the fans hoping to see the band tonight.”
However, a revised timetable of acts has been released. A Stevie Wonder tribute will perform in the Africa tent at 7.15pm, Michael Jackson: Starring Ben will be in the Amphitheatre, and Artful Dodger appears at the Woodland Ponds at 9pm.
The Main Stage has completely closed.
