A van has been destroyed by fire in Pondwell, on the outskirts of Seaview and Ryde, this morning (Monday).
Plumes of black smoke have been pouring out of the vehicle, with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service in attendance.
Police are also on the scene.
The incident unfolded near to the Mermaid Gin distillery on Pondwell Hill at around 11am.
An eye-witness told Isle of Wight Radio:
"The driver is shaken up, although we're not certain of the cause of the fire at the moment."
The road has been closed from both sides.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service said:
"Ryde and Shanklin crews were alerted to a campervan blaze within a car park on Pondwell Hill in Nettlestone shortly after 11am this morning.
"Police are on the scene to manage traffic as firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackle the fire using hose reel jets.
"The stop message came in shortly before midday with firefighters remaining on the scene to dampen down."
