Emergency services have been called to a boat on fire on the River Medina this afternoon (Friday).
An Isle of Wight Radio listener reported the fire as being adjacent to Folly Lane on the outskirts of Whippingham.
It's said that the fire is close to the Folly Inn.
The initial blaze is thought to have occurred at around 3pm.
Fire services are now in attendance.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service said:
"Crews from Newport and East Cowes are currently on the scene of a boat fire near the Folly Inn, Folly Lane, East Cowes.
"One boat is well alight located on an offshore pontoon.
"The call came in just after 3pm and a Coastguard team are also on site to assist.
"It's been confirmed that there's nobody on the boat."
