Leisure facilities in Sandown are to be massively reduced over the next 5 months as the Council begins the first phase of refurbishment at the Heights.
Both Swimming pools, the squash courts and the Safe at the heights will be closed until June while the Isle of Wight Council rolls out improvements to the Sandown leisure centre.
Customers will still be able to use the Health Suite, Tone Zone and attend aerobics classes at the centre but car parking, changing areas, toilets and receptionprocesses may be disrupted throughout the works.
The second phase will see the health suite refurbished, a third activity studio built and new dry-side changing rooms installed, that will begin in June and last until November.
The Council advises that other leisure facilities are available at Medina Leisure Centre, Westridge and Rew Valley throughout the works
