A Flood Warning for Langbridge and Alverstone on the Eastern Yar remains in place this morning, although an update is expected at 11am.
A Flood Alert is still in place for the Eastern Yar, until 6pm tonight when it will be reviewed. The alert was reviewed last night at 6pm and the Environment Agency said:
Very little rain has fallen in the last 12 hours and this is allowing levels to fall in the Eastern Yar. However, there has been significant out of bank flows through the whole area and clearing the flood plain will take some days. The Met Office forecast for today is dry during the day but potentially heavy rain may occur overnight with between 6 and 15mm of rain forecast. Thursday to the weekend is expected to be somewhat drier with only showers and low amounts of rain forecast. The Flood Warning remains as the overnight rain may require this to be updated or reissued if higher amounts of rain fall.
