Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill have each received a prestigious award from TripAdvisor.

The world’s largest travel site has awarded its ‘Certificate of Excellence 2014’ to the attractions for a second year running. The businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, and the criteria takes into account the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months and their popularity on the site. Alexander Dabell, Managing Director of Vectis Ventures, which owns Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, said he was pleased both of the parks are rated so highly:

“I am very proud both parks have been awarded this prestigious accolade for the second year running, especially as the awards are based directly on feedback from our visitors on their experiences at the parks. “There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by one’s customers. “Vectis Ventures has been investing not just in the infrastructure at Blackgang and Robin Hill but also in the development of our staff. “This Certificate of Excellence gives recognition to their hard work.”

Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business, said:

“TripAdvisor is pleased to honour exceptional hospitality businesses for consistent excellence. The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers. “From Australia to Zimbabwe, we want to applaud exceptional hospitality businesses for offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience.”
