A Crowdfunding page has been set up to try to raise money to replace a defibrillator which has gone missing in Ryde.

As reported by Isle of Wight Radio, a defibrillator was stolen from outside Haylands Primary School last month.

The lifesaving piece of equipment has failed to show up, so the Friends of Haylands have started a page to raise money to buy another one.

Lou Scott-Attrill from the Friends of Haylands said:

“The original defibrillator machine was gifted by the British Heart Foundation, but that’s now been stolen.

“We’ve set up a fundraising page to replace it because it is an important part of the community and could save someone’s life.

“It will cost around £1,000 to get another one and any donations will be greatly appreciated.”
