Chelsea Manning, the transgender US Army soldier and WikiLeaks whistleblower, has shared a photo of herself for the first time since she was released from prison.
The portrait was shared on Manning’s Twitter and Instagram accounts.
It shows the 29-year old with short-cropped hair wearing red lipstick and a dark V-neck sweater.
The caption reads: Okay, so here I am everyone!! #HelloWorld.
Manning was released from a US military prison on Wednesday.
Previously known as Private Bradley Manning, the soldier now chooses to identify as a woman and underwent gender transition while in jail.
Manning was convicted of espionage and other offences by court-martial in 2013.
She leaked some 700,000 documents, videos, diplomatic cables and battlefield accounts to WikiLeaks while she was an intelligence analyst in Iraq in 2010.
Sentenced to 35 years in jail, she was released because in January former US president Barack Obama commuted her sentence.
After her release she shared pictures of things she was enjoying again including pizza and champagne.
