The Isle of Wight has three medals in the bag, after the first full day of sport at the Island Games in Gotland, Sweden.
The Women’s 10m Air Pistol duo, Imogen and Shelley Moss, managed gold.
Veteran Isle of Wight athlete Andy Frost ended his Island Games career with silver in the Hammer event. His first ever Island Games was in Gotland.
The Isle of Wight’s men, Matthew Reed and Perron Phipps, won silver in the 50m Free Pistol event.
Today (Monday), the Isle of Wight’s men’s basketball team will be on the court against Gibraltar. The women’s football team is back in action against Gibraltar and there is table tennis action, against the Cayman Islands and Greenland.
After a 3-2 win against Jersey (thanks to a hatrick from Gemma Woodford), the women’s football team is back in action today (Monday). They play Gibraltar later.
Among other events, there is table tennis action, against the Cayman Islands and Greenland, Charles Button will compete in the 400m hurdles, and the Island’s swimmers are due in the pool.
