ASDA Isle Of Wight: Permission Needed For 3am Ferry Delivery Plan

ASDA wants to be able to make a delivery to its much-anticipated Newport superstore earlier than its planning permission allows.

The firm has applied to the Isle of Wight Council for the right to bring fresh produce to the Island on a 3am ferry (outside the times stipulated in its planning permission, which requires deliveries to be made after 6am).

The supermarket giant, which is planning to open on St George’s Way in August, wants permission for a single delivery to the store between 4am and 6am, six days a week.
