Isle of Wight cricketer Adam Hose continued his impressive form to help Birmingham Bears reach T20 Finals Day.
Hose hit 36 off just 15 balls as the Bears (207-4) beat Surrey (204-5) with just four balls to spare at the Kia Oval.
Hose – who grew up on the Island and played for Ventnor – has been earning huge praise since his move from Somerset.
Last night (Friday) on Twitter, former England cricketer, Kevin Pieterson said, ‘Wow, this kid Hose can bat’.
England legend Freddie Flintoff also praised Hose, alongside Rob Key and Nick Knight.
Speaking after the match, Hose, 24, said:
“You have just got to go out there and express yourself.
“We are now looking ahead and we need to get switched on for next week. There are some dangerous teams still left in.
“Glamorgan are a very dangerous side and we will have to be at our best – like we were tonight (Friday).”
