Two people accused of a taser attack and attempted Kidnap on the Isle of Wight have been cleared of all charges
Louise Victoria Spence, 27 and Anthony William Booty, 49 – both from Ryde – have been cleared of wounding with intent relating to an alleged kidnap in November.
A 51-year-old was attacked in Newport Street, Ryde shortly before midnight on 22 November (2016).
Louise Spence and Anthony Booty were accused of wounding with intent, unlawful wounding and attempted kidnap.
They were cleared by a jury following a trial at Winchester Crown Court. In January, both pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charges.
In March, police issued an appeal to locate 51-year-old Henry Thomas Henderson from Sandown for questioning in relation to this assault. Hampshire Constabulary says it’s believed Mr Henderson may have left the Island and travelled to Wilmslow in Cheshire back in February this year.
Police say he may have now left the UK and are applying for a European arrest warrant as part of their efforts to locate him as a “matter of urgency”.
