Depeche Mode will headline the fiftieth anniversary Isle of Wight Festival 2018, it has just been announced today (Monday).
Formed in Basildon, Essex in 1980, they will be at Seaclose Park at the four-day event between 21 and 24 June.
The iconic band’s back catalogue includes hits Personal Jesus and Enjoy The Silence and they are nominees for next year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
This will be their first visit to the Isle of Wight.
The Killers will be back for 2018, five years after their first appearance on stage here.
Seven years after they appeared on main stage, Fire and Where Did All The Love Go songsters Kasabian will return along with their 2011 co-headliner Liam Gallagher.
Festival-goers will also welcome back The Script.
Van Morrison, James Bay and Blossoms have also been revealed for the 2018 event.
