This years marks a special return for the Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival, as it celebrates its 21st birthday.

From trees made of horse hooves to recycled wedding dresses, the annual festival sees a feast of weird and wonderful designs.

Festivities begin with a special prelude today (Wednesday). A “Lights of Love” carol service is being held for Earl Mountbatten Hospice in Brighstone Church at 7pm.

On Thursday (8) all of the trees will go on display and entertainment will be held across the Island’s villages.
