Speaking to Isle of Wight Radio, Councillor Karl Love has been giving his reaction to the news that the chain ferry is set to return next week.

Councillor Karl Love said it is good for the people of the East Cowes but is “cautious” over whether the service will be consistent.

The East Cowes Councillor said:

“I understand that a lot of effort has gone into doing some of the works but it hardly inspires me when I know that it ran aground yesterday (Wednesday) in its testing. We can only hope that we’re going to get a service at least over Christmas.”
