A gun has been found, and two people have been arrested following an incident that was attended by armed police in Sandown yesterday (Friday).
Hampshire Constabulary sent officers to Downsview off Perowne Way at 3:30pm after a member of the public reported concerns for a man inside the address.
According to the force, officers recovered a handgun.
A 44-year-old man from Godshill was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A 47-year-old woman from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of Class B.
Officers remain on scene today to carry out further enquiries.
