Isle of Wight Radio is proud to announce that the Child of Wight Awards are back for 2018 – made possible by Wightfibre.
Last year, we said thank you to some of the special young members of our community, and this year we’re giving you another chance to nominate a child who’s made a difference by going above and beyond.
They might be someone who has shown dedication to a cause or triumphed in extreme hardship, they might have even made a difference to your life – this is your chance to celebrate your Child of Wight.
With categories including ‘Best Brother’, ‘Young Achiever’, and ‘Young Carer’, there’s an award for all types of outstanding achievement.
Nominations are now open! If there’s one way to celebrate a child’s achievements, this is it. You can nominate your Child of Wight here.
Nominations close on the 27th April 2018.
Last year we recognised many young members of our community at a glitzy awards ceremony:
A word from main sponsor WightFibre. Wightfibre CEO John Irvine told us:
“At WightFibre we use the words ‘Because we Care’ in our company logo. This is because we really do care about providing the best possible service to our customers on the island. We also care about giving back to our Island community where we can and our sponorship of the Child of Wight Awards for the 3rd year running is a great way for us to do that.
“The Island has a great community spirit and our young people who deserve special recognition. As a local company who are, it is an honour and privilege for WightFibre to once again sponsor these awards and to support Isle of Wight Radio in making these awards special.”
