Chillerton and Rookley Primary has retained a ‘good’ rating following an inspection in March, despite what Ofsted describes as “several changes in leadership and staff, both at the school and within the federation”, which inspectors say have “adversely affected” the school.

There is praise for the school’s interim head and executive headteacher.

The school has been challenged to improve middle management and to ensure an increasing proportion of key stage 1 pupils attain the expected standard for their age in reading and maths.
