The Arsenal Charity Team and Joe Ellis Trust FC will go head to head at Newport’s St George’s Park this weekend.

The Island’s team faces tough competition tomorrow (Sunday), as it takes on a mixture of ex Arsenal players and celebrities in aid of the Isle of Wight charity.

A host of other activities and entertainment will also be on show incase football isn’t your thing, there will be a tombola, charity auction and bouncy castle.

Event organiser and Joe Ellis Trust FC captain Paul Neil said:

“Everyone’s playing in the right spirit and hoping for a few laughs but more importantly we want to win. What are the chances? I’m not sure, they’re quite slim. Arsenal are a good team, they’ve been playing for a few years and they’re full of ex professional players and celebrities. I’m hoping they are more of the older celebrities and older professional team – we might give them a bit of a run around.”

Gates will open at 12pm, for a 1pm kick off.
