Thousands of people are taking part in Walk the Wight in aid of Mountbatten today (Sunday).

The annual fundraiser sees people taking part in either the full 26 mile walk from Bembridge to The Needles, or the flat walk from Sandown.

The first walker over the line at The Needles was Mr Checkley, while the first child to finish was 11 year old Louie Fernn. Ali Bowick was the first runner to finish.
