Ask Your Questions Direct To Isle Of Wight Heath Bosses Over Mainland Care Plans

Isle of Wight Radio will be broadcasting a ‘Question Time’ style event next month (June) and it will be a chance for you to ask questions to health bosses about controversial planned changes to the way services are provided here.

The Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group is considering moving 11 per cent of its most complex, specialist acute care procedures to hospitals on the mainland within the next three-five years.

Some routine procedures, currently being carried out in mainland hospitals, may return to the Isle of Wight.

A question and answer session, with a panel of clinicians and other experts, will take place at Cowes Enterprise College on 11 June, between 6pm and 8pm.

It will be free to attend, but you will need a ticket. They are available on a first come first served basis (limited to two per person). They are expected to be available from early next week at our reception on Dodnor Park, as well as at the County Press offices in Newport.

Email your question in advance in writing to [email protected], which has gone live today (Friday) and well will also be able to take some live on the night.

A formal public consultation will take place in 2019 and a series of free public events will run across the Island in June.
