Yarmouth RNLI assisted a boat “taking on water” off the coast of Lymington this afternoon (Wednesday).

The lifeboat crew was called to reports of an 18-foot yacht in need of assistance at 12.30pm.

Maritime and Coastguard Agency also put out a pan-pan call to any nearby boats.

The Yarmouth crew reached the casualty boat at 12.45pm, along with a nearby boat and Lymington RNLI, who put a pump on board.

The yacht was then towed into Lymington Yacht Haven, and all crews stood down.
