Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service

A twelve week consultation over plans for a combined Isle of Wight and Hampshire fire authority could get the green light this evening (Thursday).

The Isle of Wight Council’s cabinet members will be asked to accept a business case for the creation of the new combined fire authority.

They will also be asked to undertake a 12-week public consultation; the results of which will go before Full Council in the autumn for a final decision.
