Wightlink’s new multi-million pounds flagship ferry – Victoria of Wight – has been spotted off the Isle of wight.
The new hybrid vessel was snapped by Ventnor Haven Fishery’s Chris Mortimer (Meg) just south of the Island.
If the weather’s right, she’ll enter Portsmouth Harbour tomorrow morning (Friday) – at about 11:45am.
Towed by the tug Amber II, the ferry reached the English Channel yesterday.
The hybrid energy ferry departed from the Cemre shipyard in Yalova, Turkey for the 3,019 nautical mile journey to Portsmouth.
Victoria of Wight has been specifically designed and built to serve the Isle of Wight on the Portsmouth – Fishbourne route.
