Boasting authors from the worlds of spy thrillers to hit tv series’, the seventh annual Isle of Wight Literary Festival gets underway today (Thursday).
The annual event is returning to its home of Northwood House in Cowes for four days of appearances from a host of authors, from the Isle of Wight’s Josh Barry to Terry Waite CBE, and Isle of Wight Radio’s John Hannam.
Programme Committee member Janet Allan said:
“A lot of people who come to the Isle of Wight Literary Festival like the fact we don’t have huge venues and you do see the speaker – you can get him to sign your book and talk to him, or her.
It’s sort of a bijou literary festival, not 500 seaters and crushes of people, and we’re very very fortunate to have the house and the wonderful park.”
