An Isle of Wight computer firm is helping the Cowes-based Isle of Wight Foodbank, but not by stocking the shelves with tinned soup.

Wight Computers, which has supported the Foodbank since 2013, has designed new software to help the organisation run its holiday voucher scheme.

It offers help to families who usually reply on school meals during term time and who face extra pressure when school is out.

Hannah Jones from the Isle of Wight Foodbank said,

“A massive thank you to Andrew and his team for creating this database for us. We are so grateful for the time and expertise spent on making our lives easier.”

Managing director of Wight Computers, Andrew Nordbruch said,

“As an Island based company, we are delighted to support local charities such as the Foodbank who provide such an incredible service to the community…To be able to add value to the Foodbank is extra special and means that their precious resources are not wasted.”
