A teenager has been jailed for three years for emailing bomb threats to schools, including a number on the Isle of Wight.

Island children were not evacuated in March, because the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire Constabulary quickly identified the email as a hoax.

George Duke-Cohan, 19, from Watford, admitted calls and emails that led to both the evacuation of schools and an FBI investigation into threats against a United Airlines flight from London to San Francisco.

In all, more than 400 schools and colleges were targeted.
