His Newport County team beat Championship side Middlesbrough 2-0 in an Emirates FA Cup replay.

It’s only the second time the welsh side have reached the Fifth Round of the competition in their history.

Left back, Butler, played the full 90 minutes on a rain-sodden pitch.

Speaking to Isle of Wight Radio, Dan said:

“This year we have beatn Leicester and Middlesbrough!

“When we get a team in the Premier League and the Championship, it’s effectively a free hit for us.

“The atmosphere at our home ground, Rodney Parade was amazing! It’s probably the loudest I have played at. The fans didn’t stop singing all night.

“Hopefully against Man City it can be even better! It’s the FA Cup, but fingers crossed we can do it!”

Robbie Willmott and Padraig Amond scored the goals in the second half for the hosts.

The League Two outfit will now play Premier League Champions – Manchester City – in the fifth round.
