The school’s safeguarding team says it knows of some pupils who are are using the app Talk To Someone, which advertises the chance to,
“Meet strangers, share secrets, express anonymously…”
“Free, anonymous and confidential online text chat with strangers around the world. Unleash the monster inside you.”
The Bay CE is also warning parents about Tellonym which,
“…allows you to receive anonymous and honest feedback from everyone who is important to you.”
The school says the apps are being shared via Snapchat and Instagram, both of which you need to be 13 years old to join. It recommends installing an app that allows you to monitor your child’s phone.
