Roads turned to rivers and sheds tried to take to the skies as Storm Erik swept across the Isle of Wight.

As reported by Isle of Wight Radio, windy and rainy weather conditions brought havoc to the roads and ferries yesterday (Friday).

That disruption is continuing into today (Saturday), with Hovertravel services cancelled once again.  

While Calbourne Road, which bore the brunt of flash flooding, is closed from Betty Haunt Lane to Elm Lane for emergency drainage works.
