One male has been freed by firefighters from a vehicle involved in a Shanklin crash last night (Thursday).

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue were called to the single car collision on Victoria Avenue in Shanklin at 23.14pm.

A spokesperson from the fire service told Isle of Wight Radio..

” Firefighters extricated one male from a vehicle via the rear tailgate and on to a spinal board.”

The casualty was then handed over to paramedics.

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue left the scene at 23.51pm.
