A fundraising page, set-up to support the funeral costs of an Isle of Wight teenager who tragically died, has already raised more than £4,400.

Isle of Wight Radio has been given permission from Emily’s family to put the appeal online, along with the photo of Emily.

16-year-old Emily Peach, from Newport, died suddenly on Friday (15).

Posting on Go Fund Me, her family described Emily, who attended Carisbrooke College, as  ‘beautiful’ and ‘beloved’.

The family has asked for donations to ‘give her the best send-off possible’.

Generous Islanders have stepped in to support the family, generating thousands of pounds.

On the Go Fund Me Page, it says:

“This tragedy is one of the most unexpected things which could have happened, there was no way anybody could have seen it coming and as such, the family is now under a lot of stress and worry to pull together a funeral whilst also grieving for our beloved Emily.

“All we want to do is to give her the send-off that she wholly deserves and a chance for anybody and everybody who held her in their heart to come and say their goodbyes.

“As such, any donation which can be made in aid of this cause would be greatly appreciated…

“…Thank you.”

Emily leaves behind mother Sarah and father Graham, as well as her five sisters.

Emily’s parents say all money raised will go to them, before being put towards the funeral costs.

The date, time and location of Emily’s funeral is to be confirmed at a later date.
