Two out of three Isle of Wight synchronised ice skating teams competing for top spots in Sheffield, have come away with silverware.
The Wight Sequins, Wight Crystals and Wight Sparkles all made the trip up north on Thursday (7) in preparation for their performances yesterday (Friday).
They were taking part in the Steel City Trophy – their final competition of the season.
And, the gruelling journey was well worth it as the Wight Sparkles and Wight Crystals skated away with medals.
The Wight Crystals claimed silver in the Mixed Age event – and the Sparkles went one better to take home gold in the Basic Novice category.
Meanwhile, the Island’s youngest team, the Wight Sequins, finished a respectable 5th place in the elementary-level event.
