Strong winds are causing disruption in the Solent this morning (Sunday).

All Red Funnel services – both the car ferry and Red Jet – have been cancelled.
Hovertravel’s hovercrafts are not running. We’re expecting another update at 10:45.
Wightlink’s Yamouth – Lymington car ferry route is also suspended.

As reported by Isle of Wight Radio, a yellow weather warning for wind is in place.
*The Junior Cross Country Event due be held between 10am to 12am at Seaclose today has been cancelled due to high winds, fallen trees and falling branches.
On the roads, Southern Vectis says its Route 12 is not serving any stops from Brook Triangle to Freshwater Bay because of high winds. Diversions are in place.
**Southern Vectis’ number 12 service is now operating its normal route.
Red Funnel says its Red Jet Service from Cowes is suspended until at least 6.10pm. It will not operate from Southampton until at least 5.45pm.
Hovertravel remains suspended. Another update is expected at 12.45pm.
***Cowes Ladies’ meeting with AFC Stoneham has been cancelled. The away side have been unable to make it to the Island due to ferry cancellations.
Red Funnel says its East Cowes to Southampton car ferry service remains suspended. Another update is expected just after 12pm.
Wightlink’s Lymington to Yarmouth also remains out of action due to the weather.

There are reports of a fallen down tree on Folly Lane in East Cowes. Islanders are being urged to drive with care.
Due to the weather, trains are not serving Ryde Pier Head. National Rail says they will start/end at Ryde Esplanade.
*****Wightlink says its Yarmouth to Lymington route is now back up and running to timetable.
Red Funnel will resume its car ferry service from 3pm.
