They say Tenerife is ‘The Island of a Thousand Experiences’ and I’m pretty sure they’re not exaggerating.
To be in with a chance of winning a trip to Tenerife, all you need to do is tune in and take part in Isle of Wight Radio’s Interactive Weekend.
Less than 24 hours into our trip and we’ve already been spoilt with a vast and varied itinerary – as well as some pretty swanky accommodation – and, thanks to our friends at Tenerife Tourism Corporation, there’s plenty more to come.
Getting to Tenerife was effortless, with direct flights from London Gatwick with British Airways delivering us to the main tourist area of Tenerife South in comfort, style – and in less than four hours.
On arrival, we checked into Costa Adeje’s uber-cool HOVIMA La Pinta beachfront hotel, with our accommodation comprising a spacious and modern apartment with impressive pool AND sea views! The all-inclusive family-friendly hotel has recently had a makeover – it looks great and the food is to die for.
Within the hour, we found ourselves sampling the stunning wines of the family-owned Bodegas Reveron winery and vineyard in Vilaflor.
As well as panoramic views of the island’s diverse landscape, from 1,300m above sea level, the establishment hosts guided tours and tastings of their hand-harvested wines alongside delicious Spanish snacks – an experience we can thoroughly recommend.
After a brief stop off in the picture-perfect square of Vilaflor, the highest village in Spain, we arrived at the four-star Hotel Spa Villalba for dinner.
Classy and quaint in equal measure, the luxury hotel oozed opulence, stunning surroundings and local food at its finest – the perfect end to our first day in paradise.
If this sounds like your idea of heaven, tune into Isle of Wight Radio this weekend for your chance to win a luxury holiday to Tenerife, thanks to British Airways and Tenerife Tourism Corporation.
You can fly direct from London Gatwick all year round and, in around four and a half hours, you too could be soaking up the sun, sea and spectacular scenery of the largest Canary Island.
