Soprano Lesley Garrett, comedians Alan Davies and Shappi Khorsandi and West End leading lady Ruthie Henshall top the bill for this year’s The Wight Proms.
An extended event returns to Northwood House between 29 August and 1 September.
Stars from the West End and the Wight Proms Concert Orchestra will also appear, alongside Island acts Company B-UK, Theatretrain and The Rockafellas.
The Winners of the Isle of Wight Music, Dance & Drama Festival will also secure a spot on the stage.
The Wight Proms will be split into four themed nights: Friday’s A Wight Laugh; Wight at the Musicals on Saturday; Last Wight of the Proms on Sunday.
On the Thursday night, an outdoor cinema will screen The Greatest Showman and Dirty Dancing and Prokofiev’s Peter & the Wolf will entertain the crowds on Saturday afternoon.
Festival Founder Mike Christie said,
“Last year’s headliners received such high plaudits so we knew we had set the bar very high. We’ve been working hard to enhance the offering from last year and are delighted to
announce these internationally-renowned acts; together with another great line-up of local talent, including Company B-UK, The Rockafellas, Theatretrain and the winners from the IOW Music, Dance & Drama Festival.”
Tickets got on sale on 1 April.
