It’s a “super exciting time” says Isle of Wight singer songwriter Lauran Hibberd, who is off to the iconic Glastonbury music festival in June.
She is set to play the BBC Introducing… stage, which has previously seen the likes of Florence and the Machine, Lewis Capaldi and Sam Fender.
She has already appeared at the Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival and is a familiar name to Island music-lovers.
Lauran told Isle of Wight Radio that she is having a huge year and she hopes it will continue,
“It’s so exciting. It’s such an incredible line-up. To see my name on that poster is really surreal. It’s really great that the first time I ever go to Glastonbury, I’ll be playing.
“It’s been a really big year. We’ve achieved quite lot. For now I’m enjoying all the new opportunities that are coming along.”
Lauran and her band are planning to camp at the Somerset festival, so they can get the full Glastonbury experience.
