An Isle of Wight footballer will be hoping for a dream day at Wembley tomorrow (Saturday).
Islander, Dan Butler, is expected to start for Newport County in their League Two play off final against Tranmere.
Dan, 24, grew up on the Island and attended Cowes High School.
It’s already been a season to remember for Dan, having starred in an FA Cup run playing against Leicester City and Manchester City.
As well as flourishing on the pitch, Dan has been recognised for his commitment towards the ‘We Wear the Same Shirt’ County in the Community football group, along with his support for other projects run by his club.
A win for the South Wales club tomorrow would mean they’ll be facing the likes of Dan’s former club, Portsmouth, as well as Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool and Coventry City.
Newport County v Tranmere Rovers kicks off at 3pm.
