Staplers Road in Newport is closed following a crash this afternoon (Tuesday).

There has been a collision near to Butterfly World, Isle of Wight Radio understands.
Police, the Isle of Wight Fire Service and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene.
*Southern Vectis’ route 9 buses are diverting and traffic is heavy in the area.

**A woman has been freed from the car by firefighters and placed in the care of the ambulance service, according to the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue service.
Emergency crews were called to a three vehicle collision shortly before 3pm.
The road remains closed while the fire crews work to make it safe again.
***Three people have reportedly suffered minor injuries, says Hampshire Constabulary.

Isle of Wight Radio understands a dog – believed to be a black Labrador – has gone missing from one of the vehicles following the collision. People are being asked to keep an eye out in the area.
