Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall, Royal Family actress Sue Johnston and comedian Bobby Ball will head the cast of a brand-new sitcom filmed and set on the Isle of Wight.
The Cockfields has been commissioned by comedy channel Gold – and will also feature former Coronation Street star Nigel Havers.
After Life favourite Joe Wilkinson, who has penned the series alongside David Earl, will play main character, Simon.
The series follows the soon-to-be 40-year-old’s misadventures as he brings Donna, played by Diane Morgan, to meet his Isle of Wight-based parents.
Whilst there, the pair are left to tackle his ever-doting mother Sue, (Sue Johnston) and controlling stepdad Ray (Bobby Ball).
And, things go from bad to worse when Simon’s father Larry (Nigel Havers) brings along his new girlfriend Melissa (Kim Cattrall) to join in with the so-called celebrations.
Interruptions also come in form of Simon’s Alan Titchmarsh-obsessed stepbrother David (Ben Rufus Green) and neighbour Andre (Jeff Mirza).
The Cockfields will air on UKTV network’s Gold later this year.
