McDonald’s is set to trial longer breakfast hours at restaurants on the Isle of Wight.

Starting from today (12), seven McDonald’s restaurants will be trialling extending breakfast service to 11am, in a six-week test to see whether the nation really wants their beloved McMuffins after 10.30am, reports The Mirror.

All seven restaurants trialling the new timings will be in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, but if successful, the iconic fast food chain will then roll out the later end times nationwide.

It’s a big change considering the current 10.30am end point has been in place for nearly 25 years.

The Isle of Wight has two McDonald’s outlets – a restaurant in Newport and a drive-thru and restaurant in Ryde.
