A tornado was spotted over the Isle of Wight as the Island was hit by heavy rain and stormy weather.
Jamie Russell from the Isle of Wight Met Service said he captured a tornado circling over the Island yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
Central and northern parts of the Island were hit by torrential rain.
A yellow weather warning was in place for rain and thunderstorms – but that has now expired.
“This tiny patch is a sign that it has reached the ground. Also I could see it occasionally forming tiny little funnels with potential dust or dirt below the condensation funnel.”
