Jess Glynne has cancelled her performance at the Isle of Wight Festival – minutes before she was due on stage to perform in front of tens of thousands of fans.

An Isle of Wight Festival spokesperson said she pulled out due to ‘exhaustion’.

The unexpected announcement has not gone down well with festival bosses at the Seaclose Park site – Isle of Wight Radio has been told.

Jess has been supporting the Spice Girls on tour in recent weeks – with her final performance last night (Saturday).

Many fans have taken to social media to air their disappointment and have questioned whether it was just ‘exhaustion’ which led to the cancellation.

Jess Glynne’s camp have issued a statement:

The news hasn’t dampened spirits with revellers though, who have partied to Fatboy Slim, George Ezra, Sigrid, Jax Jones, Madness, Tom Walker and a host of other top acts this weekend.
