Robinson’s Fruit Shoot bottles have been recalled over safety fears.

Maker Britvic PLC has recalled the products after receiving reports that the spout of the sports bottle cap may become detached unexpectedly, according to reports.

The childrens’ favourite Apple and Blackcurrant flavoured juice drinks are widely sold in Tesco, McDonald’s and Costco.

Any bought in McDonald’s between June 22 and June 28 are also believed to be affected by the recall.

The products affected are:

  • 24 x 200ml multi-pack sold in Tesco and Costco
  • 200ml single bottle sold in McDonald’s

These batch numbers to look out for:

  • NO5 L9164
  • NO5 L9171
  • NO6 L9171

They have a best before date of March 2020.

Food Standards Agency and Britvic PLC are advising customers not to drink the product and instead should dispose of the drink safely.

No other Britvic PLC products are known to be affected.
