Ryde Library has launched a children’s rocket competition today (Saturday 13th July) until Saturday 31st  August.

Island children are being invited to create a rocket, out of any materials they can find at home; egg boxes, milk cartons, cardboard boxes, loo rolls ect.

You can then take your creation into Ryde’s Junior Library, where it will be judged and prizes will be awarded, with a very special one for the most creative design!

Whilst you are at the library your child can sign up for this Summer’s “Space Chase” Reading Challenge, the theme this year is based on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
